Anglia News Week 18 - 2012 Teacher Training May Discount - Cool Training - HQ News - FA Lustrum EFKF - June Registration
More and more teachers have joined our teacher training programmes this year and we really want to encourage colleagues to join. Our new colleague Denise Lang is also working very hard to update all courses. If you register before 1 June 2012, you will get a € 100 discount on our Teacher Training in Chichester/London in October 2012 or February 2013. You can also register there for the next Cool! English at School Teacher Training, which will take place on University College Utrecht Campus on Wednesday 16 May, 2 to 5 pm, led by Cool! Anglia News Week 16 - 2012 Bilingual Conference - Winners Weekend - English Mile - June Registration
More than 350 colleagues from various European countries attended the CLIL 2012 Conference organized by European Platform yesterday. The Anglia Stand turned out to be popular with new colleagues, but also interesting for the experienced members who discussed new projects like Anglia Introduction Day and Community Service Projects.
Greetings from Chichester, where Sander and Angela are leading 7 winning pupils through Chichester and London. This morning they have a Meet&Greet Breakfast with Chief Examiner Liz Bangs Jones. Later today they visit the Movies Department, tomorrow they have their Trip to London. Pictures on www.anglianetwork.eu on their return.

New courses have started this week, Going International, a course for colleagues who want to improve their English and inter-cultural competences. if you are interested. Good news from China, where new Step to Books are being written by John Ross and his team. They are now working on Preliminary Level, which is due to be finished on 16 April. Other levels to follow are Primary, Junior, First Step and Masters. Available in the next school year. Winners Weekend starts on Thursday 19 April, when 7 lucky pupils will travel to Chichester and London, guided by our colleagues Patricia and Sander. They will visit Harrods, Buckingham Palace and the British Museum. This year's winners were from Amsterdam and Venlo. For next year we are organising a Song Competition and a Movie Challenge again, we will keep you posted. English for Kids Foundation is conducting its yearly Make Friends Campaign, to get new members to support their world-wide projects in Ghana, India and South-Africa. Anglia EU is an official EFKF Partner, so we strongly recommend this campaign. Anglia News Week 12 - 2012 More Exams - Calendar 2012/2013 - Subsidies for Teachers - New Anglia Staff - May Registration
Good news. More exams for April than expected and first registrations for May are already coming in.
Attached you will find the definite Anglia Calendar 2012/2013 (click). Next school year we have planned 2 Teacher Study Visits to Chichester and London, in October 2012 and February 2013. Good news is that for both teacher study visits Scholarships will be available, if you register before 1 June 2012 you will get an extra € 100 discount. New staff is joining the Anglia Team. This week Diego Pérez from San Sebastian has joined our team as a Marketing Support Trainee. Anglia News Week 10 - 2012 Successful Speak Day - Draft Calendar - Membership Plus Card - May Registration
Our first Anglia Speak Day turned out to be very successful at Lavoor Primary school in Roosendaal, where 18 students from local Secondary School Norbertus conducted Speaking Test Activities with a group of 90 pupils aged 10, 11 and 12. It took 10 minutes to instruct the students, using the step by step Anglia materials. A great way to promote Anglia and your school. See the pictures on our **picture page**.

Our new project GOLT (Get On the Language Train) has been discussed thouroughly over the past few weeks, the proposal will be submitted to Brussels on 29 February. We now have 7 partners in 5 countries (Austria, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, Netherlands), some of them big networks. Golt will start on 1 November 2012 and will focus on cooperation in language learning, both face to face and digital, between different age groups. An extra group of Chinese students will come to Utrecht on 5 August, for a week of Summer Twinning with Dutch and other international pupils and staff.
